9 things you can change about your body

You’re not perfect, no one is. But don’t you wish you were. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could erase all you imperfections and be left with the body you’ve always wanted? Below are 9 things that you can change about your body.

1. Your energy and endurance.
You can boost your energy with cardio. Try mixing periods of vigorous excise with easier sports, such as intervals of brisk walks.

2. Your posture
Want a pin straight posture? Try some strength training. This helps to flatten your abs and can even make you half an inch taller. Twice a week try lying face down, lift arms and legs several inches off the floor, hold and then release. Do two sets of 12 reps. In about eight weeks you will look taller and straighter.

3. Your grace and balance
Feeling out of balance? Get yourself to a yoga, dance or martial arts class. You may not be a pro at first, and even struggle with the movements but you will quickly improve and you will build what
experts call “muscle memory” your body will instinctively “remember” how to stay more stable in all
your daily activities.

4. The back of your arms
One of the easiest places to make over, you can tone your arms by putting your hands on the edge of chair seat; walk feet out , slowly bend elbows, hold for 10 seconds, press and then back up. Repeat
this five times. Do this two or three times a week and you’ll see changes in as little as two weeks.
If you want to smooth away back of arms bumps go for a lotion with lactic acid.

5. Your shoulders
If shoulder definition is what you are after, try push ups. It will not only define your shoulders but it can accentuate your waist, if you are an hour glass.

6. Your flexibility
Doing yoga regularly can make you limber. Not up for all the bending and twisting that yoga entails?
Try some simple stretches like reaching for the ground.

7. Your skin
Want beautiful, glowing skin that makes you look fresh and even? Drink water. Young men and women are more prone to poor skin tones due to dehydration. If you sip coffee all day and then suck down alcohol at night don’t expect to get a perfect skin tone.Water helps to keep you moist, this adds to its plumpness and elasticity. Aim for 64 ounces a day.

8. Your overall body fat percentage
By doing strength training and cardio you can lower the percentage of body fat you have and in turn you will transform the look of your entire body. Note that body fat is more important than the number on the scale. Because you can be slim and still have an unhealthy amount of body fat.

9. Your attitude about your body
So you're not perfect, so what! You still have plenty of sexy spots. Take an inventory of what’s good about your body and fall back on them when you feel vulnerable and insecure.

Tan Tablet Sleeve from Mareri

Tan Tablet Sleeve from Mareri

I don't have a tablet (though I've been looking) but if I did have one, I'd want this sleeve to keep it safe. This sleeve comes in a variety of colors but each bears the cute bird on the branch. The bird design on the front is made with felt appliqué.There are 6 layers of fabric plus entirely lined with 2 layers of sturdy thick high-density foam padding to provide extra protection between fabric layers to protect laptop computer from scratches and low-impact bumps. Cute and practical, I might have to get this with or without a tablet.

Awake and Alive

My garden captivated my imagination. Not for the grass and trees, but for the examination of life. Something great made the trees; the flowers; the blades of grass. Something breathed life into all that stood in my garden that day, including me. And this same something breathed love into each creation, because it so apparent that I wasn't just looking at a product. There was an energy so powerful in each creation in my garden that all I could do was marvel.

I've seen my garden many times, admired the flowers and greenery, but it was perhaps the first time that I was seeing more than just a pretty flower. There is something so profound, so energized with love that no one can begin to understand it. All we can do is cherish it and be grateful for it.

My hand bag, though I think it is pretty, is not part of this great web of life. Admiring it is not the same as the admiring the creations of God. It breaths no life; it offers no love. The day made me want to choose carefully where I gave my worship. I want my attention to be maximized on all that is made by and centered on the astounding, un-replicable love of God.

The Greatest Artist

      God is the greatest artist
To whom no one can compare,
Streaking sunsets very beautiful,
Painting rainbows in the air.

Brushing green the hillside scene,
Blotting blue the sky above,
Splashing flowers 'cross the ground beneath,
Shading white clouds with His glove.

Of the wonders God has made
There is none that is so fair
As the smile He paints upon your face
When you realize He's there.

A bit of skirt

Vivienne Westwood Anglomania Cosmopolitan brocade tulip skirt

Erin Fetherston Folded Cotton And Silk-Blend Skirt

I love skirts. I prefer them much more to pants that's for sure, not that I don't like pants, but skirts are, well, lovely and the two above are very lovely. The first one fits well with my brocade obsession. It takes a sophisticated approach to texture and pattern. Speaking of sophisticated, feast your eyes on the Erin Fetherston skirt. I adore it! The champagned hued satin, the sculptured folds--it's a work of art.

Interview with esty shop liloshop

Back in spring I featured a sweet looking charm bracelet from liloshop. Recently, I had the great opportunity to interview the owner of the shop Anna, and got a chance to learn what else this lovely lady does and what her plans with liloshop are.

Tell me a bit about yourself:
My name is Anna and I live, study and work in Vienna, Austria.

Apart from creating what else do you do?
I´m studying theatre, film & media sciences and I'm writing these days my master thesis about fashion videos “the shift from still to moving image. I’m also part of the organizing team of the Vienna fashioncamp (fashioncampvienna.blogspot.com/) which will take place on the 10th of September and is a one-day conference about the future of fashion, the change of communication, market and trend spreading.

What are your most cherished handmade items?
That´s a tough question! self-made or shopped? There are so many, but i think my vamoose sailor knot bracelett (hpunktanna.com/2010/05/26/sailor-knot/) and my grey knitted hat (hpunktanna.com/2009/10/14/shop-update/).

Where do you get your inspirations?
I love film noir movies and vintage photographies, through blogging i met so many talented people, they are also very inspiring to me!

What is your favorite summer look?
There is no special summer look I prefer, I love stripes, but not only in the summertime, but actually I got really addicted to the colour mint. Since the last 4-5 years mint is my must-have. I am also posting a mint thing of the day (hpunktanna.com/tag/mint-thing-of-the-day/) feature since June.

Where are your 3 of your favorite places to shop?
etsy, Austrian pop up stores and flea markets, I don´t like these big online shops.

What can you be found doing on a Saturday afternoon?
Thrifting or blogging ;)

How did you find out about etsy and what made you decide selling there?

The first time I heard about etsy, was probably on one of the diy blogs I read two years ago (saidos da concha saidosdaconcha.blogspot.com/). etsy is very user friendly and I really like the design of the surface and the network behind the shop.

How have your products changed since you started creating?
At the beginning I sold only handmade products, but in the last months I also started selling vintage clothes. I love thrift stores!

What are your future plans with liloshop?
I think I will concentrate on accessoires and I hope I will have more time for my handmade projects.

Cosmic Dish

A spoonful of moon
A sip of milky way
We hunger every night
For a taste of cosmic rays
We rise up
To eat up
A morsel of Mars
We cannot sleep
We're feasting
On mouth watering stars

Madam Freedom

She wore blossoms in her hair
And lived her life without a care
She flew high, past mountain tops
And planted dreams by growing crops
She was wild and she was free
She made magic grow in me
She was flesh and she was soul
She made love her only goal
~Adelaide Love
